BIO

Dr Handford is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who focuses on conditions affecting the upper limb and general Orthopaedic trauma. Cameron feels strongly about making his patients feel well looked after and listened to, and ensuring they understand their condition and treatment goals.

Dr Handford completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales in 2012 graduating with First Class Honours. He worked as a junior doctor at the Royal North Shore Hospital before entering into Orthopaedic Surgical training. He completed his Orthopaedic surgical training in 2023 and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. During his training he also completed a Masters Degree in Orthopaedic Trauma at the University of Newcastle. He then completed a Clinical Fellowship with the Sydney Shoulder Research Institute.

Dr Handford is currently actively involved in research, and enjoys working with and teaching junior doctors. He believes in providing care to rural communities and travels out to Dubbo once a month to work as the on call Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeon.
